A strong financial background as a stockbroker at the Board of Trade, and client service experience as a business owner and personal shopper, preceded my career as a real estate professional.  My creative ability helps an owner make their home a standout, and helps buyers target properties that are right for them.   I believe that a home “speaks to” its buyer and I work with my clients to help them listen for and understand that soul-felt language. 

My careful attention to detail and sincere interest in listening to and interpreting my clients’ expressed wishes have resulted in an impressive record of real estate transaction successes over the past twenty-two years.   I include staging, marketing, merchandising, advising and counseling, community knowledge and after-sale resources such as carpenters, painters, interior designers, architects, and landscapers as the typical compliment of full services my clients can expect and enjoy.  

As a life-long advocate of continuing education, I take various courses to hone my skills to provide better service and information for my clients.  I hold an Illinois Broker’s License, I am a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and have just recently earned the SFR designation for my course work in short sales and bank owned properties.  I have an e-PRO certification for my training in internet marketing and have also studied and been certified as a Real Estate Staging Professional.  In addition, I am committed to knowing the local real estate market, and I make it a priority to personally tour over 800+ homes each year. 

With both children now having flown the nest, I find time for leisure interests that include tennis, paddle tennis, quilt making, bridge and gardening.   I graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a BA in Psychology and I have a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign. 

They say “love what you do” and I do.   It matters to me that my buying clients love their new home and are happy there.  And for those selling, I want it to be an easy, stress free transaction getting the highest possible price in the least amount of time.  Although deemed one of the most stressful events in one’s life, I hope that, for my clients, it is one of the most exciting, fun and stress free experiences as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
